About

What can sustainable products and processes look like? And what is the role of designers in this context? In order to focus on the topic of sustainability, the Muthesius Kunsthochschule has established a new workspace where a sustainable future is thought and designed: the Sustainability Design Lab. The alumnae and alumni selected by a jury of experts implemented their design projects here, with the goal of advancing innovative sustainability projects. We believe that many good sustainability ideas are born at Muthesius Academy of Fine Arts that are worth pursuing and realizing beyond the term of a semester project. In addition to an idea and design skills, this also requires time and financial resources. In order to create precisely these opportunities for young designers, a total of eight positions for idea generators were created at the beginning of 2022.

With projects of Max Boll und Kay Boll, Julia Dankmer, Kilian Frieling, Peer Kohlmorgen, Janet Perozo, Marei Schippmann, Mika Siponen and Hannes Stuhr, Bashar Zapen
