"Planterial" project deals with the design and development of radically sustainable panel materials made from fast-growing raw materials. Not a single tree should be cut down for Planterial board materials, and they must always meet the highest ecological and aesthetic demands. Understanding, recognizing and defining these demands requires an open culture of experimentation and trial and error, which is realized in the Sustainable Design Lab. The work consists primarily of exploring the technical and aesthetic potential of biogenic source materials. The test series included raw materials such as seaweed, kelp, seaweed pomace, oat straw, flax straw, coffee husks, hemp hurds, grape seeds and plant charcoal. By using our organic binder, Planterial board materials are completely biodegradable and harmless to humans and the environment.
